Training Spotlight:
Mental Health First Aid – National Council on Mental Wellbeing
This course 8-hour course provide the principal skills needed to engage those who may be having a mental health or substance misuse challenge. Participants will learn the building blocks known as ALGEE that guide a First Aider in providing support to someone in need. This course like CPR and First Aid provides the participant with a certification that allows them the ability to utilize the skills in the community. This course is best for anyone who may encounter someone with mental health or substance misuse concerns.
